I am a seasoned clarinetist with 14 years’ experience playing in various ensembles. Since graduating from college in May ’12 and moving to Boston shortly thereafter, I’ve subbed for all but one of the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra 2012-2013 season performances. The orchestra’s May ’13 concert at Sanders Theater in Harvard Square (which featured Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet Suites 1 & 2, Verdi’s La Forza del Destino, and Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto) was reviewed by pianist and arts administrator Jim McDonald in The Boston Musical Intelligencer. I played principal on both the Verdi and the Prokofiev. My other accomplishments include a full performance of the Mozart Clarinet Concerto with the Hamilton College Orchestra in December 2011 and a Carnegie Hall performance with the Greater Buffalo Youth Orchestra in March 2006. I can also make my way around the French horn pretty well, even though it’s “A Devil to Play” (one of my favorite music books).
